Overview
As a Delivery Solutions Architect (DSA) Manager supporting the Digital Native Business (DNB) segment at Databricks, the role involves building, leading, and inspiring a team of DSAs who help innovative, fast-growing customers accelerate their journey from idea to production on the Databricks Platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing team by hiring, coaching, and growing DSAs to guide DNB customers to production success across various Data, AI, and ML workloads.
- Accelerate the path to production by minimizing friction, removing blockers, and helping customers deploy high-impact workloads faster.
- Maintain technical excellence through advanced knowledge of Databricks and the broader Data and AI ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Solutions Architects, Support, Product Engineering, and Professional Services to build integrated customer plans that drive adoption and deliver ROI.
- Establish mechanisms for tracking, forecasting, and communicating workload progress, usage growth, and customer health.
- Serve as the technical sponsor for select DNB accounts, engaging with tech leads and executives to shape the customer success strategy.
- Drive initiatives that enhance consistency, scalability, and innovation across the DSA organization.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles with a focus on Data and AI, including 3+ years leading technical teams.
- Experience in cloud-based Lakehouse architectures, guiding customers through migrations and modernization using cloud-native principles.
- Proven track record in accelerating workloads to production on cloud-native platforms.
- Deep understanding of distributed data systems and cloud-native platforms.
- Hands-on experience in SQL and an Object-Oriented Programming Language (preferably Python, SQL, or Scala).
- Expertise in Data and AI domains such as Analytics, Data Warehousing, ETL, Streaming, and/or ML/AI productionization.
- Experience with hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a strong plus.
- Strong communication and executive presence as a trusted advisor to technical leaders and C-level stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.
