Overview

Médecins du Monde is hiring a Medical Supervisor to support health programs in primary health facilities in Katsina, Nigeria, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure effective implementation of health programs in Ministry of Health facilities in line with project objectives and donor requirements.
Ensure compliance with grant guidelines, program standards, and internal organizational procedures.
Develop workplans and activity schedules with the Program Manager and ensure timely implementation of activities.
Monitor budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
Collaborate with Ministry of Health leadership to strengthen health systems and improve service delivery.
Lead and supervise the integration of Sexual and Reproductive Health, Gender Based Violence services, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, and Nutrition services into primary healthcare packages.
Coordinate closely with technical officers and relevant stakeholders to ensure holistic health programming.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Medical Doctor, Nurse, Midwife, Public Health Professional, or related field.
Certification in program management cycle is an added advantage.
At least three years of relevant professional experience in a similar role within the humanitarian sector or supervising health facilities.
Experience working with Ministry of Health structures and supporting health system strengthening is required.
Experience in program cycle management, budgeting, donor compliance, emergency response, and outbreak management is desirable.
Ability to analyze epidemiological situations and provide appropriate interventions.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.

Technical Skills:

Strong coordination skills across health sectors including Sexual and Reproductive Health, Gender Based Violence response, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, and Nutrition.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
