    Overview

    This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the mental health and psychosocial support systems for children and caregivers affected by crises.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implement and oversee psychosocial support activities.
    • Deliver structured psychosocial support interventions including group-based activities and individual support.
    • Identify children and caregivers in need of mental health support.
    • Provide Psychological First Aid (PFA) and facilitate safe referrals to specialized services.
    • Integrate psychosocial support into Education in Emergencies programs.
    • Train and mentor staff, volunteers, and partners on psychosocial support and safeguarding practices.
    • Engage with the community to raise awareness about mental health.
    • Participate in coordination platforms and collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen referral systems.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
    • At least three years of relevant professional experience.
    • Prior experience in MHPSS programming, Child Protection, and Education.
    • Fluency in English and Hausa.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
