Logistics Supervisor – C5 Opportunity at Modikwa Platinum Mine

Modikwa Platinum Mine invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Logistics Supervisor – C5 at the North Shaft Business Unit.

Job Title: Logistics Supervisor – C5
Job Location: Modikwa Platinum Mine, North Shaft Business Unit, South Africa
Closing Date: 07 August 2026
Contract: Permanent (Company Conditions Apply)

The successful candidate will report to the Subordinate Operations Logistics Leader and Operations Logistics Leader.

The remuneration package will be in accordance with the Modikwa package schedules.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate Trade Qualification – Millwright
• N3 or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4
• Minimum of 5 years’ post-trade experience in a mining environment

• At least 2 years’ experience as a Logistics Supervisor will be an advantage
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office and SAP)
• Knowledge of applicable laws and standards

• Project Management experience will be an advantage
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence
• Basic supervisory skills

Technical Work Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Equipment and Maintenance

• Ensuring all electrical and mechanical equipment and installations comply with legal standards
• Ensuring machinery within the area of responsibility meets operational standards
• Maintaining machinery to planned maintenance targets

Logistics and Operations

• Material management
• Applying standard operating procedures during task execution
• Maintaining all reports and required legal records

Safety and Compliance

• Implementing and maintaining safety measures and precautions
• Conducting hazard identification and risk assessments
• Ensuring SHE compliance

Financial and People Management

• Budget and cost management
• People interface and supervision

Employment Conditions

The successful candidate will be appointed subject to:

• Being certified medically fit in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996.
• Undergoing job-related assessments where required as part of the recruitment process.
