The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is offering an opportunity for a National Project Officer (Research and Development) within the Education Sector, focusing on program coordination and research innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Apply quantitative and qualitative research methods to strengthen evidence for the Cognitive Academic Social Emotional (CASE) framework.
Design and evaluate SEL programmes using immersive digital tools.
Develop evidence-based models to assess the impact of SEL training on educators.
Produce policy-relevant, peer-reviewed research publications.
Support implementation and visibility of MGIEP’s SEL programmes.
Coordinate with UNESCO offices, education ministries, and institutional partners.
Monitor research progress to ensure alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Develop communication materials in collaboration with internal teams to disseminate research findings.

Requirements

Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Science of Learning or related fields.
At least four years of progressive experience in research programme design and development.
Strong expertise in research design and methodology.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, good working knowledge of Hindi.
Proven track record of academic publications.
