    Overview

    The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is offering an opportunity for a National Project Officer (Research and Development) within the Education Sector, focusing on program coordination and research innovation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Apply quantitative and qualitative research methods to strengthen evidence for the Cognitive Academic Social Emotional (CASE) framework.
    • Design and evaluate SEL programmes using immersive digital tools.
    • Develop evidence-based models to assess the impact of SEL training on educators.
    • Produce policy-relevant, peer-reviewed research publications.
    • Support implementation and visibility of MGIEP’s SEL programmes.
    • Coordinate with UNESCO offices, education ministries, and institutional partners.
    • Monitor research progress to ensure alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Develop communication materials in collaboration with internal teams to disseminate research findings.

    Requirements

    • Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Science of Learning or related fields.
    • At least four years of progressive experience in research programme design and development.
    • Strong expertise in research design and methodology.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, good working knowledge of Hindi.
    • Proven track record of academic publications.
