    NetHope is seeking a qualified consultant or agency to lead a comprehensive brand refresh and visual identity project. This initiative aligns with its 2024–2030 Strategic Plan and aims to strengthen the organization’s visibility, storytelling, and global impact.

    Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis until 3 April 2026, with selection expected by mid-April 2026.

    The Opportunity

    This consultancy represents a strategic moment for NetHope as it builds on nearly 25 years of impact. The selected consultant will lead a collaborative, co-creation process to redefine the organization’s brand identity and messaging.

    The objective is to develop a brand that communicates with clarity, consistency, and global relevance, while reflecting NetHope’s mission and future direction.

    Scope of Work

    The engagement will be highly collaborative, involving internal teams and external stakeholders. The consultant will lead the following core phases:

    Discovery & Research

    • Conduct a comprehensive brand audit
    • Analyse peer organizations and sector positioning
    • Facilitate internal working sessions
    • Conduct stakeholder interviews
    • Deliver a discovery report with strategic recommendations

    Strategic Messaging

    • Refine organizational positioning
    • Develop a messaging architecture for key audiences
    • Produce core messaging assets:
      • Taglines
      • Elevator pitch
      • Value propositions
      • Brand narrative document
    • Align messaging with ongoing website redevelopment

    Visual Identity

    • Present at least three visual identity concepts
    • Refine selected direction through iterative feedback
    • Develop a complete visual identity system:
      • Logo suite
      • Colour palette
      • Typography
      • Iconography
    • Ensure accessibility and usability across platforms, including low-bandwidth environments
    • Deliver a comprehensive brand style guide

    Application & Handoff

    • Apply branding to core templates:
      • Presentations
      • Reports
      • Social media
      • Email newsletters
    • Provide assets in multiple formats, including Canva-compatible files
    • Deliver a brand onboarding session for staff
    • Develop a brand governance guide

    Key Deliverables

    The project will be structured into four phases:

    • Phase 1: Discovery & Research
      • Stakeholder workshops
      • Landscape analysis
      • Discovery report
    • Phase 2: Strategic Messaging
      • Messaging framework
      • Audience-specific value propositions
      • Brand narrative
    • Phase 3: Visual Identity
      • Multiple design concepts
      • Final visual identity system
      • Brand guidelines
    • Phase 4: Application & Handoff
      • Templates and final assets
      • Brand governance documentation
      • Staff training session

    Ongoing progress updates will be provided at agreed milestones.

    Required Qualifications

    The ideal consultant or agency will demonstrate:

    • Proven experience in end-to-end brand strategy and design
    • Strong portfolio of work with global nonprofits or humanitarian organizations
    • Experience with membership-based or network organizations
    • Understanding of multi-stakeholder environments
    • Familiarity with technology for social good (preferred)

    The consultant must also show the ability to lead collaborative, co-creation processes across diverse global teams.

    Project Timeline

    • Start date: No later than May 2026
    • Duration: Approximately 2 to 2.5 months
    • Selection: Mid-April 2026

    All work will be conducted remotely, with scheduled virtual engagements.

    Selection Criteria

    Proposals will be evaluated based on:

    • Relevant experience and portfolio quality
    • Understanding of NetHope’s mission and context
    • Team expertise and capacity
    • Budget and value for money
    • References and client feedback

    General Conditions

    • The consultant will operate as an independent contractor
    • NetHope will provide strategic guidance but not manage day-to-day work
    • The consultant must supply their own tools and resources
    • Non-exclusivity applies (other clients permitted)
    • All deliverables become the property of NetHope upon completion
    • Contractors must pass compliance screening requirements
