United Nigeria Airlines, a Nigerian company incorporated under the Companies and Allied Matters Act of 1990 and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Customer Service Executive Supervisor (CSS) in Abuja and Lagos. The role reports directly to the Station Manager.
The Customer Service Executive Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient and timely handling of domestic, regional, and international transit passengers, baggage, cargo, and aircraft operations. The position prioritizes safety, security, operational efficiency, and on-time departures while ensuring high standards of customer service. The supervisor also ensures adequate staffing for daily operations and may act on behalf of the Station Manager when required.
Key responsibilities include supervising all station operations to ensure safe, punctual, and smooth aircraft departures; overseeing customer service agents, security personnel, ramp agents, drivers, catering staff, and baggage handlers; and coordinating all operational activities to maintain service excellence and operational integrity. The role also involves enforcing strict adherence to ramp safety procedures, ensuring staff are well-trained and customer-focused, and maintaining compliance with all operational manuals and company policies.
The supervisor is expected to ensure timely submission of flight summaries and related documentation to the revenue accounts office, manage disruptions effectively with minimal risk to the organization, and oversee ramp activities during aircraft arrivals. Additionally, the role requires verifying that all flights depart with accurate passenger and baggage manifests and performing any other duties assigned by the Station Manager.
Applicants must possess an HND or BSc in any discipline, with a higher degree considered an added advantage. A minimum of four years’ relevant experience is required, while knowledge of ground operations handling will be beneficial. Candidates must be capable of working extended hours and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, along with strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Leadership capability, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to make quick, sound decisions are also required.
