The selected researcher will examine critical questions including:

How funding dynamics change in a world with multiple major philanthropic funders.
Methods for evaluating returns on investment across different cause areas.
Approaches for measuring and attributing impact when multiple organizations support the same initiatives.
The evolving relationship between funders and grantees in increasingly complex funding landscapes.
Strategies for improving cause prioritization models used by philanthropists and foundations.

The role will involve both independent research and collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The Researcher will play an important role in shaping the organization’s understanding of high-impact giving and philanthropic effectiveness.

Primary duties include:

Conducting independent research on complex cause prioritization questions.
Producing reports that address uncertainty and competing perspectives.
Evaluating and improving quantitative cross-cause funding models.
