The Health Strategy and Delivery Foundation (HSDF) is recruiting qualified professionals for the position of State Pharmacy and Logistics Officer across multiple states in Nigeria, including Lagos, Borno (Maiduguri), Bauchi, Katsina, and Yobe (Potiskum).
HSDF is a not-for-profit organization established in 2013 with a mission to strengthen decision-making and execution within the health sector. The organization works with government institutions, development partners, and implementing agencies to improve health systems, particularly in maternal and child health, health financing, and supply chain management.
The State Pharmacy and Logistics Officer will provide technical and operational support at the state level, primarily within the Drug Management Agency (DMA) or Central Medical Store (CMS). The role focuses on strengthening warehouse operations, improving logistics data systems, and ensuring efficient supply chain performance for maternal and newborn health (MNH) commodities.
The officer will support last-mile distribution (LMD) of MNH commodities, strengthen forecasting and quantification processes, and enhance drug revolving fund (DRF) systems to ensure continuous availability of essential health products. The role also involves supporting the digitization and integration of logistics management information systems (LMIS) to improve real-time visibility of supply chain data.
Key responsibilities include coordinating commodity distribution plans, optimizing delivery routes, monitoring warehouse stock levels, and ensuring proper tracking of expiry and batch information. The officer will also work closely with state stakeholders to improve budgeting, planning, and governance structures related to commodity supply chains.
In addition, the role requires participation in technical working groups, LMIS review meetings, and annual operational planning processes. The officer will contribute to strengthening data-driven decision-making by developing dashboards, tracking key performance indicators, and producing regular implementation reports.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage. Candidates should have between 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in health commodities warehousing, supply chain management, or logistics systems, with experience in state-level Drug Management Agencies considered desirable.
Strong understanding of public health supply chains, warehouse management systems, and digital LMIS platforms is required. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills, as well as the ability to work in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
HSDF is an equal opportunity employer and strongly encourages applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds. The organization is committed to promoting inclusion, equity, and diversity in its workforce.
