    Overview

    The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to ensure the quality of its digital products, particularly the Aleph Pro data platform. This is a part-time, remote role.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and implement test plans for OCCRP’s digital products.
    • Reproduce, diagnose, and triage bugs efficiently.
    • Conduct exploratory testing to identify issues before deployment.
    • Develop, update, and maintain automated test scripts.
    • Collaborate with developers, data analysts, and journalists to ensure product quality.
    • Provide feedback on product improvements based on testing outcomes.

    Requirements

    • Experience with distributed, cloud-native applications.
    • Ability to read and understand code written in Go, React, and Python.
    • Fluency with Git and Jira for version control and issue tracking.
    • Proactive and autonomous work ethic.
    • Experience testing APIs and applications that handle large, data-intensive processes.

    Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience

    • Exposure to Kubernetes and Apache Beam environments.
    • Familiarity with OSINT tools or investigative journalism tools.
    • Experience with writing automated tests using frameworks such as Selenium or Cypress.

    Benefits

    Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Work hours are part-time, 2-3 days per week, negotiable.
