Overview
The role involves being a Principal Product Manager for Elastic Security, serving as the primary product voice for the most strategic enterprise customers. The position focuses on managing enhancement requests, translating customer needs into coherent product direction, and ensuring customer satisfaction while advancing product goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the enhancement request pipeline across multiple strategic enterprise accounts.
- Translate customer requirements into shipped products, focusing on customer pain points.
- Identify patterns across accounts to inform product development.
- Feed validated customer patterns back into the core product roadmaps.
- Serve as the primary product voice in meetings with senior customer stakeholders.
- Prioritize requirements using frameworks such as RICE and weighted scoring.
- Work collaboratively with product and engineering teams to write clear requirements.
- Navigating customer expectations versus internal roadmaps directly.
- Create visibility artifacts like roadmap trackers and enhancement request dashboards.
- Advocate for customer needs while balancing broader market interests.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of product management experience, with at least 4 years in B2B enterprise software.
- Hands-on knowledge of security platforms such as SIEM, SOAR, or XDR.
- Experience managing enhancement request pipelines at scale.
- Comfortable interacting with C-suite and VP-level stakeholders.
- Technical credibility and the ability to write actionable specifications for engineers.
- Strong leadership skills across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering.
- Structured thinking and a bias for closure on unstructured problems.
- Experience using AI tools for project management and documentation.
- Exemplary spoken and written communication skills.
