Overview
The role is for a Principal Product Manager at Elastic, focusing on strategic account interactions within the Security Solutions division. This position involves managing relationships with enterprise customers and turning their needs into coherent product directions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the enhancement request pipeline across multiple strategic enterprise accounts.
- Translate customer requirements into shipped products by understanding customer pain points.
- Identify patterns across accounts and shape them into formal partnerships for product design.
- Feed validated customer patterns back into core product roadmaps.
- Serve as the primary product voice in meetings with senior customer stakeholders.
- Prioritize customer-sourced requirements using structured frameworks.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to write actionable specifications.
- Create visible artifacts such as roadmap trackers and enhancement request dashboards.
- Advocate for customer needs while balancing internal roadmap priorities.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of product management experience, at least 4 years in B2B enterprise software.
- Hands-on knowledge with SIEM, SOAR, XDR, or broader security operations platforms.
- Experience managing structured enhancement request pipelines across multiple accounts.
- Comfortable engaging with C-suite and VP-level stakeholders.
- Technical credibility with the ability to communicate effective requirements to engineering teams.
- Experience working cross-functionally across Product, Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, and Legal.
- Strong organizational and structured mindset for problem-solving.
- Ability to comfortably leverage AI tools for productivity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
