Overview

Elastic is seeking a Principal Product Manager for XDR and exposure management capabilities within Elastic Security. The role focuses on integrating detection-and-response and exposure management to enhance security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own XDR strategy and delivery across cross-domain detection and response.
• Lead XDR expansion into exposure and vulnerability management, including patch management and remediation workflows.
• Manage inputs from adjacent surfaces such as attack surface and cloud posture.
• Collaborate with the Entity Analytics team on exposure prioritization.
• Serve as the product voice with senior customer stakeholders.
• Understand the competitive landscape to guide product direction.
• Write clear requirements for engineering teams and support detection and exposure scoring.
• Create artifacts for visibility and communication among stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of product management experience, including 4 years in security or B2B enterprise software.
• Hands-on knowledge of XDR, EDR, SIEM, or security operations.
• Understanding of exposure prioritization and vulnerability management.
• Solid comprehension of analytics and the cyber threat landscape.
• Technical credibility and ability to engage with engineering teams.
• Strong executive presence and cross-functional fluency.
• Experience with AI-augmented work processes.
• Demonstrated leadership ability in a remote environment.
