Principal Product Manager (XDR & Exposure Management) - Security Solutions @Elastic

Overview

Elastic is seeking a Principal Product Manager for XDR and Exposure Management within its Security Solutions team. This role will primarily focus on product strategy and delivery of advanced detection and response capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Own XDR strategy and delivery across endpoint, cloud, identity, and network detection and response.
• Lead the expansion into exposure and vulnerability management, including features like patch management and remediation workflow.
• Differentiate between XDR, exposure, and adjacent surfaces such as attack surface and cloud posture.
• Collaborate with the Entity Analytics team for exposure prioritization.
• Serve as the product voice for senior customer stakeholders, delivering roadmap direction.
• Become an authority on the competitive landscape, translating insights into strategic direction.
• Partner with engineering and Security Labs to create actionable requirements and base scoring on real threat research.
• Develop artifacts to provide visibility to customers and stakeholders without extensive meetings.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of product management experience, including 4 years in security or B2B enterprise software.
• Hands-on knowledge in XDR, EDR, SIEM, or security operations.
• Understanding of exposure and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with analytics and the current cyber threat landscape.
• Technical credibility with the ability to communicate requirements effectively.
• Comfortable engaging with C-suite and VP-level customers.
• Experience operating across different functions, including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment.
