    Overview

    Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Principal Product Manager to oversee XDR and exposure management within its Security Solutions division. This role is crucial in enhancing detection and response capabilities amidst evolving security challenges.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own XDR strategy and delivery across various domains including endpoint, cloud, identity, and network detection and response.
    • Lead the expansion of Elastic's XDR into exposure and vulnerability management, ensuring features such as patch management and remediation workflows are effective.
    • Differentiate between XDR, exposure, and adjacent surfaces such as attack surface and cloud posture.
    • Collaborate with the Entity Analytics team for exposure prioritization based on asset criticality.
    • Serve as the product voice with senior customer stakeholders and provide clear roadmap direction.
    • Establish authority on the competitive landscape and translate insights into strategic direction.
    • Work with engineering teams to write clear, actionable requirements and ensure alignment with threat research.
    • Create documentation such as roadmap trackers and decision memos for better visibility for stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • 7–10 years of product management experience, with at least 4 years in security or B2B enterprise software.
    • Hands-on knowledge of XDR, EDR, SIEM, or security operations.
    • Understanding of exposure prioritization and the metrics that drive credible decisions.
    • Comprehension of analytics and the current cyber threat landscape.
    • Technical credibility with the ability to write quality requirements.
    • Executive presence and comfort working with senior stakeholders.
    • Ability to navigate across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
    • Proficient in using AI tools in workflows.
    • Ability to lead across a matrixed organization in a remote-first environment.
    • Adaptability to different projects and teams based on business needs.
