    Overview

    The Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA) is seeking a Program Associate on Peacekeeping and Peace Operations. This role focuses on research, training, and policy development in the field of peacekeeping and conflict prevention.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic and substantive support to the peacekeeping team.
    • Monitor and report on developments related to peacekeeping and peace operations.
    • Prepare policy papers, reports, and other written materials.
    • Conduct research to support program implementation and development.
    • Participate in conferences, workshops, and external meetings.
    • Support the delivery of activities outlined in the Annual Work Plan (AWP).
    • Develop training curricula, presentations, infographics, and other learning materials.
    • Coordinate with national authorities, partners, and implementing organizations.
    • Support monitoring and evaluation activities, including training assessments.
    • Assist with quarterly and final project reports.
    • Maintain engagement with international networks such as the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centres (IAPTC).

    Requirements

    Education: Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Economics, Law, or a related discipline. Significant relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.

    Work Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience, preferably in peace and security research, international organizations, government institutions, or academic/training institutions. Previous publications, research papers, or policy analysis work are advantageous.

    Knowledge and Expertise: Familiarity with UN Peacekeeping and Peace Support Operations, peacebuilding, conflict prevention, compliance and accountability mechanisms, and preventing Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) in peace operations.

    Language Requirements: Fluency in Arabic and English. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
