Overview
IsraAID is seeking a Program Manager WASH to lead its Water, Sanitation and Hygiene programs in Kakuma, Kenya, until December 2026. This role involves managing and strengthening WASH interventions in a humanitarian and refugee-hosting context.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, planning, and implementation of WASH projects.
- Provide technical expertise in water supply, sanitation, hygiene promotion, and sustainable WASH solutions.
- Develop technical designs and Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
- Ensure quality assurance frameworks meet donor and professional standards.
- Monitor program budgets against targets and ensure timely donor reporting.
- Strengthen monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Align programming with IsraAID and international humanitarian standards.
- Supervise WASH program officers and build team capacity.
- Contribute to annual strategic planning for WASH programming.
- Support proposal development and strategic fundraising.
- Oversee budgeting, financial management, procurement, and logistics.
- Represent IsraAID in WASH coordination meetings, technical working groups, and government/donor meetings.
- Strengthen relationships with local partners and identify advocacy opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Soil and Water Engineering, Water Resources Management, or Public Health. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in program management, with at least 2 years in a senior management role.
- Experience in conflict or post-conflict settings.
- Proven success in proposal development, log frame design, budget development and management, stakeholder coordination, and financial oversight.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, procurement management, and contract management.
- Excellent organizational, coordination, analytical, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
- Resilient professional capable of frequent field visits.
