Overview
The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is seeking a Programme Monitoring and Improvement Coordinator in Abuja to support its Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) activities. This two-year fixed-term contract aims to strengthen programme performance, learning, and accountability across the organization's development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of MEAL frameworks.
- Generate credible evidence on programme performance.
- Facilitate knowledge synthesis for decision-making, programme learning, and improvement.
- Support donor reporting compliance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of programme delivery.
- Develop and implement programme theories of change, logic models, results frameworks, and MEAL plans.
- Collect, clean, analyze, and visualize monitoring data.
- Ensure ethical standards and recognized research methodologies in field data collection.
- Conduct data quality audits and validation checks.
- Capture and synthesize programme lessons learned.
- Support programme teams in applying insights to strengthen strategies.
- Coordinate research activities with external partners.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of project management.
- Practical experience in designing and implementing MEAL systems in development programmes.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, Stata, R, or Python).
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau) is highly desirable.
- Must have the legal right to work in Nigeria; no work permit or relocation sponsorship offered.
Benefits
Gross salary: NGN 19,666,488 per annum (depending on experience).
