Overview
The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is seeking a Project Coordinator for Processing and Manufacturing to support its programs in Abuja. This role is offered on a two-year fixed-term contract with a hybrid work arrangement and a competitive salary starting from NGN 14,550,552 gross per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and coordinating processing and manufacturing program components.
- Supervising the establishment of shared processing hubs and manufacturing clusters.
- Conducting enterprise diagnostics and supporting SMEs to address compliance and equipment needs.
- Facilitating the implementation of quality assurance frameworks (e.g., GMP, HACCP).
- Promoting environmentally sustainable and energy-efficient processing technologies.
- Collaborating with regulatory agencies (NAFDAC, SON, NAQS) for product registration and compliance.
- Representing the program in consortium meetings, stakeholder engagements, and technical working groups.
Requirements
- Strong experience in agro-processing, food safety, manufacturing, or enterprise development.
- Proven ability to support SME competitiveness and value chain development.
- Experience managing donor-funded projects is desirable.
- Experience working with regulatory standards within Nigeria’s food system is highly desirable.
