    The Oxford Climate Policy Hub focuses on monitoring and advancing best practices in climate governance and regulatory frameworks. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, the Hub works to strengthen climate accountability, support policy innovation, and provide governments and institutions with research-driven insights for effective climate action.

    The initiative is part of Oxford’s growing leadership in climate research and public policy, positioning the selected Project Officer at the centre of globally significant sustainability and governance work.

    Key Responsibilities

    The appointed Project Officer will oversee the day-to-day management and coordination of activities within the programme. Responsibilities include:

    • Managing administrative and financial operations of the programme
    • Coordinating meetings, workshops, and events
    • Supporting project management and reporting activities
    • Assisting with communications and stakeholder engagement
    • Supporting grant applications and funding proposals
    • Monitoring budgets and ensuring financial compliance
    • Contributing to the successful implementation of climate policy initiatives

    The role requires someone capable of managing multiple priorities while working collaboratively with researchers, policymakers, and external partners.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants are expected to hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as:

    • Economics
    • Development Studies
    • Political Science
    • Geography
    • Law
    • Public Policy
    • Related social science or governance fields

    The University of Oxford is seeking candidates with:

    Salary and Benefits

    The Project Officer position offers a salary ranging from £35,681 to £41,636 per annum (full-time equivalent), depending on experience. Part-time appointments may also be considered on a pro-rata basis.
