Project Officer Fisheries and Beekeeping @European Committee for Agricultural Training (CEFA)

Overview

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to sustainable agriculture, blue economy development, and climate resilience initiatives in East Africa by focusing on fisheries and beekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop monthly and quarterly work plans.
• Coordinate field activities and engage stakeholders.
• Organize assessments and data collection.
• Supervise field operations and manage logistics.
• Prepare and monitor reporting documentation.
• Oversee monitoring and evaluation activities.
• Coordinate fisheries training sessions.
• Support survey preparation and field data collection.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Agriculture, Aquaculture, or Environmental Science.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in agriculture or climate resilience projects.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Benefits

The position offers a competitive gross monthly salary ranging between KES 80,000 to KES 100,000, with a fixed-term contract for one year and the possibility of extension.

Location

Remote role based in Kenya, with activities in Kwale and Tana River Counties.
