Global Rights Compliance (GRC) is accepting applications for a remote Legal Adviser position to support its international justice and accountability programmes. The consultancy opportunity is open to experienced legal professionals with expertise in international criminal law, international humanitarian law, or international human rights law.
Applications close on July 13, 2026, and successful candidates will join GRC’s international team on a full-time consultancy contract running until the end of September 2026, with the possibility of an extension based on funding availability and performance.

Global Rights Compliance is an international organization comprising policy specialists, lawyers, and development experts committed to promoting accountability and strengthening justice systems through the application of international law.
The organization operates in some of the world’s most challenging legal and security contexts, delivering specialized legal expertise, strategic advisory services, and policy solutions that support justice, human rights, and the rule of law.
As part of its work in Iraq, GRC is supporting stakeholders in Duhok to improve their capacity to organize, process, and utilize evidence relating to international crimes in accordance with international legal standards and best practices.
The Legal Adviser will work remotely as part of GRC’s international team, supporting project implementation through legal research, drafting legal materials, and providing technical expertise on accountability processes.
The successful candidate will also contribute to project coordination and collaborate closely with project leads, legal experts, and local partners.
