The successful candidate will join IFAD’s External Engagement, Communications Division, working under the guidance of the Web and Social Media Lead to strengthen the organization’s global digital presence and audience engagement across multiple platforms.
As social media continues to play a vital role in international development communications, IFAD is seeking a highly skilled communications professional capable of transforming complex development topics into engaging, timely, and audience-focused digital content.
The Social Media Editor/Producer will support strategic communications efforts by creating compelling multimedia content, managing editorial workflows, and helping amplify IFAD’s mission to improve the lives of rural communities around the world.
This position is ideal for professionals with strong editorial judgment, creative storytelling abilities, and a deep understanding of digital engagement strategies across today’s leading social media platforms.

Consultants appointed to the role will be expected to work from the Rome office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with occasional travel required when operational needs arise.
