Key Responsibilities

• Real-time news surveillance
• Quick-turn writing of spot news stories
• Monitoring developments on key stories and flagging them to experts

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with a team of journalists
• Writing experience in a fast-paced news environment
• Demonstrated experience monitoring and activating on news
• A belief in Smart Brevity as the core writing style of Axios
• Experience working across teams to produce quality content
• Demonstrated knowledge of the digital and social media landscape
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
