Resident Solution Architect @Fivetran

Overview

The Resident Solution Architect role at Fivetran is aimed at experienced professionals who are passionate about solving challenging problems using dbt. The position is part of the Professional Services team, focusing on delivering solutions to dbt Platform Enterprise customers in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on impactful customer technical projects including implementation, troubleshooting configurations, and developing solutions for specific requirements.
• Consult on architecture and design.
• Ensure strategic dbt platform customers are adopting the product.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Solution Architects, Training, and Support.
• Provide feedback to dbt Labs product and engineering teams for customer requests and issue resolution.
• Become a product expert with dbt in the context of the modern data stack.

Requirements

• Deep experience with enterprise customers in a customer-facing, post-sales, technical architect, or consulting role.
• Expertise in at least one data platform (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift).
• At least 2 years of experience with dbt, including 1 year with the dbt platform.
• Proficiency in SQL and some experience with Python.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple engagements.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfortable in a remote organization that values transparency and collaboration.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (around 10%).
