Senior Data Analyst @Instacart

Overview

Instacart is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to drive innovation in financial data analytics. The role involves architecting data models, pipelines, and reporting infrastructure to empower Finance and Accounting teams with trusted insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Bridge data and business needs by translating requirements into scalable data models.
• Own initiatives from start to finish, transforming ambiguous ideas into high-impact projects.
• Design and automate dashboards and reporting systems to provide insights for long-term growth.
• Support Revenue Accounting by building and maintaining data products.
• Ensure compliance and governance by applying design principles that support SOX and data standards.
• Maintain data integrity through validation and monitoring frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
• Leverage AI technologies to advance financial data modeling and delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics or analytics engineering; 7+ years preferred.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Snowflake, dbt, and BI tools like Mode, Looker, or Tableau.
• Experience in building complex data pipelines emphasizing accuracy and compliance.
• Familiarity with financial data structures and enterprise systems like Oracle or Salesforce.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical teams.
