Senior Product Security Engineer II @Instacart

Overview

You will be a key member of the Security Engineering team at Instacart, tasked with researching, developing, and conducting offensive security techniques for a suite of products. The role focuses on scaling the discovery of security defects and maturing the security posture of Instacart’s product lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct offensive security operations for product and internal tools.
• Deploy and operationalize various security tools for long-term scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security testing into the SDLC cycle.
• Mentor team members and promote a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Security Engineering or Penetration Testing.
• Experience in mobile app penetration testing, AI security testing, or cloud penetration testing.
• Knowledge of threat modeling, security assessments, and security architecture reviews.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions to improve security metrics.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred: Bug bounty research experience.
