Overview

This opportunity offers a critical role for a Senior Research Officer within the SET Program Management Team (PMT) to oversee research activities that inform decision-making in the education sector across the Solomon Islands.

Key Responsibilities

Develop an annual research program aligned with MEHRD priorities.
Design detailed research plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
Conduct research activities in accordance with approved methodologies.
Produce comprehensive research reports that meet quality standards.
Support evidence-based planning and program improvements.
Perform additional duties as needed to support program objectives.

Eligibility

Applicants are expected to have a strong academic background with a bachelor’s degree or higher in fields such as Education, Sociology, Psychology, or related disciplines. Essential experience includes:

Ability to design and implement applied research.
Strong report writing and analytical skills.
Effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
Fluency in English and Solomon Islands Pijin.
