Senior Revenue Accountant @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran is looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant responsible for timely and accurate revenue recognition. This role reports to the Revenue Manager and will work on all aspects of the revenue accounting process, ensuring accurate financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables in NetSuite, in compliance with ASC 606.
• Perform ongoing contract reviews of closed deals for revenue recognition appropriateness.
• Assist in tracking and assessing non-standard revenue contracts.
• Draft and maintain technical accounting memos supporting revenue recognition positions.
• Prepare revenue-related system reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist in design and testing of NetSuite ARM and revenue system enhancements.
• Document processes and procedures in line with control activities.
• Support SOX and internal control walkthroughs, testing, and documentation.
• Identify process improvements and assist in automation efforts.
• Participate in ad hoc projects, such as supporting external audit requirements.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in revenue and/or public accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of ASC 606.
• Experience in high-growth SaaS companies.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with large datasets.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership over work.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with systems such as NetSuite ARM and Salesforce.
• Knowledge of subscription and professional services revenue recognition.
• ERP system implementation and mergers experience.
• CPA License.

Location

This is a full-time position with a hybrid work model, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Remote work options are also available for California residents.
