Senior Revenue Accountant @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant responsible for timely and accurate revenue recognition. This role will work on all aspects of the revenue accounting process and report to the Revenue Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables in NetSuite, in compliance with ASC 606.
• Perform ongoing contract review of closed deals to ensure appropriateness of revenue inputs.
• Draft and maintain technical accounting memos supporting revenue recognition positions.
• Prepare revenue-related system reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist in design, data integration, and testing of NetSuite ARM.
• Document processes and procedures in line with control activities.
• Support SOX and internal control walkthroughs, testing, and documentation for the revenue cycle.
• Identify process improvements and assist in automation efforts.
• Participate in ad hoc projects supporting external audit requirements.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of combined experience in revenue and/or public accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of ASC 606.
• Experience in high-growth, SaaS companies.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with large datasets.
• Meticulous, well-organized, and able to thrive in changing processes.
• Passionate about process improvement and leveraging technology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership over work.
