Senior Revenue Accountant @Fivetran

Overview

The role involves working as a Senior Revenue Accountant at Fivetran, focusing on the revenue accounting process to ensure accuracy and compliance. Fivetran aims to simplify data access for organizations, enhancing data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables in NetSuite, adhering to ASC 606.
• Perform contract reviews of closed deals for appropriate revenue recognition.
• Draft and maintain technical accounting memos supporting revenue recognition positions.
• Prepare revenue-related system reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in testing for revenue system enhancements and document all processes.
• Assist in SOX and internal control procedures for the revenue cycle in partnership with auditors.
• Identify process improvements and assist in automation efforts.
• Engage in ad-hoc projects supporting external audit requirements.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of combined experience in revenue and/or public accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and experience in high-growth SaaS companies.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with large datasets.
• Meticulous, well-organized, and able to thrive in a changing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
