Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack @Customer.io

Overview

The role involves designing, building, and shipping core product experiences at Customer.io, a company that enables businesses to send smart and relevant automated communications. Fullstack Engineers will work with technologies such as Go, React, and Ember.

Key Responsibilities

• Build fullstack features in Go, React, and Ember that power key customer workflows.
• Collaborate with others to turn ideas into shipped customer value.
• Share knowledge publicly through videos, writing, and mentorship.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support system reliability.
• Evolve systems to scale with more customers and messages.
• Utilize AI agents to make multi-file changes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and scaling backend services and product features.
• Fluency in TypeScript, React (or similar), and a backend language like Go.
• Strong focus on frontend polish, backend performance, and customer experience.
• Knowledge of APIs, relational databases, and writing testable code.
• Bias for action and ownership of technical decisions.

Benefits
