Senior Software Engineer - Integrations 3P - Platform @Elastic

Overview

The role is for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Team at Elastic, the Search AI Company. The engineer will help integrate Elastic into the AI ecosystem, focusing on making it accessible within various developer tools and environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its infrastructure, primarily using Go.
• Create a platform for universal agent skills, including portable formats and authoring tools.
• Ensure the correctness of skills and tools through evaluations.
• Design and deliver integrations for Elastic within third-party AI ecosystems, collaborating with product teams and partners.
• Enhance the Elastic CLI for improved developer efficiency.
• Develop, maintain, and support libraries, tools, and integrations related to the Elastic Stack in various languages including Go and Rust.
• Bring product thinking to the team, advocating for impactful development.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with backend systems or services.
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks, LLMs, and related protocols.
• Significant experience with Go and familiarity with other programming languages.
• Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to read and contribute to unfamiliar codebases.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices and a focus on usability and developer experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A willingness to work within a remote, globally distributed team.
