They are seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead technical excellence across core consumer experiences, particularly in Marketplace and Search.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the technical direction and long-term roadmap for Marketplace, Search, Ads Platform, and App Experiences.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement technical excellence aligned with business results.
• Create a culture of ownership and accountability across teams for building scalable and efficient solutions.
• Guide the delivery of critical user experiences that provide customer value.
• Design and extend core platform components and functionality for new products and features.
• Influence architecting decisions on the right platforms and tools for reliability.
• Mentor and lead engineers to champion best practices and foster growth.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on backend architecture (experience with React Native, Javascript, or Kotlin is a bonus).
• Proven track record of leading critical projects and collaborating across engineering teams for company-wide results.
• Extensive experience in developing technical strategies that enhance reliability and responsiveness.
• Previous project or people management experience, with strong influencing and communication skills.
• Ownership mindset with a dedication to improving customer experience through technical decisions.
• Adept at navigating ambiguity and diving into code and systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to guide stakeholders.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
