Overview

Sightsavers seeks qualified consultants to conduct a Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion analysis for an IT skills training and employment programme implemented across selected African countries. The consultancy aims to improve access to dignified employment opportunities for young people with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct primary and secondary research on gender and disability barriers in digital skills programs.
Identify strategies to promote participation in the digital economy.
Develop recommendations for a Gender and Disability Action Plan.
Analyze social behavior to understand motivations and influences on training and employment outcomes.
Conduct country-level Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion analysis identifying influencing factors at various levels.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Disability Studies, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field.
Strong experience in Gender Equality or Social Inclusion analysis, strategy, and action plan development.
Experience in social behavior change programming, youth empowerment initiatives, and participatory research.
Proven ability to produce high-quality analytical reports.
Consultants must apply for only one country.

Benefits

The consultancy will run from 8 April to 31 July 2026, with an estimated workload of 34 working days.
