Overview

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently recruiting a Social and Environmental Standards Analyst for a part-time, one-year contract.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the rollout of SES monitoring tools and oversight frameworks
Assisting in the development of incident reporting procedures and guidance
Conducting desk research on social and environmental safeguards
Producing communication materials and visual content
Facilitating knowledge exchange through case studies, workshops, and training sessions
Documenting lessons learned to inform reporting, policy updates, and institutional tools

Requirements

Master’s degree in development studies, environmental science, political science, or related fields OR Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant professional experience
Minimum of 2 years working in gender equality, climate change adaptation and mitigation, biodiversity conservation, labour standards or stakeholder engagement, grievance redress mechanisms
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
Experience with design tools (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Canva)
Fluency in English (required)
Knowledge of additional UN languages is an advantage
