    Overview

    The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently recruiting a Social and Environmental Standards Analyst for a part-time, one-year contract.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supporting the rollout of SES monitoring tools and oversight frameworks
    • Assisting in the development of incident reporting procedures and guidance
    • Conducting desk research on social and environmental safeguards
    • Producing communication materials and visual content
    • Facilitating knowledge exchange through case studies, workshops, and training sessions
    • Documenting lessons learned to inform reporting, policy updates, and institutional tools

    Requirements

    • Master’s degree in development studies, environmental science, political science, or related fields OR Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant professional experience
    • Minimum of 2 years working in gender equality, climate change adaptation and mitigation, biodiversity conservation, labour standards or stakeholder engagement, grievance redress mechanisms
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Experience with design tools (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Canva)
    • Fluency in English (required)
    • Knowledge of additional UN languages is an advantage
