Software Engineer (AI) @Pendo

Overview

Pendo is looking for a Software Engineer (AI) to enhance their product that enables customers to understand how agents within their software operate. You will be part of a team responsible for developing features that bridge service and interface, ensuring reliable and usable product experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver full-stack features across Go services and Vue interfaces.
• Build customer installation and instrumentation experiences for agentic systems.
• Capture and make legible agent behavior for customers.
• Develop LLM-backed features including prompt and context design.
• Ship features incrementally with thorough testing.
• Own production implementations through monitoring and logging.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance development workflows.
• Provide code reviews, documentation, and reasonable work estimates.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience shipping full-stack features in a SaaS environment.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Java, Python, C+) and one modern frontend framework (Vue, React, Angular).
• Experience designing APIs and managing services on AWS or GCP with SQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, including API integration and prompt design.
• Experience with agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph) and LLM evaluation tools.
• Ability to perform risk-based testing with safe rollout patterns.
• Strong written communication skills and a BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Location

This role is hybrid, requiring attendance in the New York City office three days a week unless designated remote.
