Software Engineer @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team, focusing on building enterprise-grade software and developing features to enhance their data integration solutions. This role is integral to supporting Fivetran's growth by impacting their largest customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement features and performance improvements for scalable distributed data pipelines on the cloud.
• Develop, maintain, and test code.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with peers, product managers, customer support, and other stakeholders to ensure high quality and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
• Enhance the reliability and security of Fivetran's data infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing and developing reusable libraries and platforms for backend and frontend.
• Proficient in writing well-structured and performant code.
• Experience with code reviews, design, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages like Java, C++, or C#.
• Experience with continuous integration tools, such as Buildkite.
• Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., New Relic, Grafana) and data engineering is a plus.
• Understanding of AI code assist tools and conversational AI systems is advantageous.

Location

Hybrid role based out of Oakland, California, requiring two days in the office each week.
