Overview
The role involves working as a Software Engineer on the Security EDR Workflows team at Elastic, which focuses on building core capabilities for the Elastic Defend management experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement features that enhance the Elastic Defend user interface capabilities.
- Contribute to the architecture of Elastic Defend management and response actions framework along with OSquery forensics capabilities.
- Develop scalable and high-performance systems within the Elastic ecosystem.
- Write production-grade code in Typescript/Node JS (and potentially other languages).
- Collaborate with other engineering teams on cross-team efforts.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and team processes, driven by AI usage.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Work with a globally distributed team on delivering Elastic Defend and OSquery capabilities.
- Collaborate with team members on larger product features.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Node JS and React JS. Typescript is a plus.
- Ability to leverage AI to understand complex problems and develop solutions.
- Curiosity and willingness to engage in team meetings.
- Comfort in collaborative development and providing feedback on code.
- Initiative-taking mindset with attention to product and engineering process improvements.
