Software Engineer II - EDR Workflows - Security @Elastic

Overview

The role involves working as a Software Engineer on the Security EDR Workflows team at Elastic, which focuses on building core capabilities for the Elastic Defend management experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement features that enhance the Elastic Defend user interface capabilities.
• Contribute to the architecture of Elastic Defend management and response actions framework along with OSquery forensics capabilities.
• Develop scalable and high-performance systems within the Elastic ecosystem.
• Write production-grade code in Typescript/Node JS (and potentially other languages).
• Collaborate with other engineering teams on cross-team efforts.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and team processes, driven by AI usage.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Work with a globally distributed team on delivering Elastic Defend and OSquery capabilities.
• Collaborate with team members on larger product features.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Node JS and React JS. Typescript is a plus.
• Ability to leverage AI to understand complex problems and develop solutions.
• Curiosity and willingness to engage in team meetings.
• Comfort in collaborative development and providing feedback on code.
• Initiative-taking mindset with attention to product and engineering process improvements.
