Software Engineer II - EDR Workflows - Security @Elastic

Overview

The role involves joining the Security EDR Workflows team at Elastic, which focuses on developing core capabilities for the Elastic Defend management experience. The Software Engineer will collaborate with other teams to deliver user-facing features that protect against security threats through the Elastic Defend agent.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement features for the Elastic Defend user interface capabilities.
• Contribute to the architecture of Elastic Defend management and response actions framework along with OSquery forensic capabilities.
• Develop scalable, high-performance systems within the Elastic ecosystem.
• Write production-grade code in Typescript/Node JS and potentially other languages.
• Collaborate with other Elastic engineering teams on cross-team projects.
• Assist in improving engineering standards, tooling, and team processes.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Work with a globally distributed team on developing Elastic Defend and OSquery capabilities.
• Collaborate on large product features utilizing AI.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Node JS and React JS; Typescript is a plus.
• A mindset for AI-powered development and problem-solving.
• Curiosity and active engagement in team meetings.
• Ability to develop collaboratively, giving and receiving feedback on code.
• Initiative-taking approach to asking questions and seeking improvements.
