Software Engineer II - Full Stack - Web Engineering @Elastic

Overview

Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables users to find answers in real time using their data at scale. As a Software Engineer II on the Web Engineering team, the role focuses on building and maintaining features, systems, and infrastructure to keep the website fast, reliable, and effective.

Key Responsibilities

• Own features across the full stack from component design and backend services to deployment pipelines.
• Instrument client-side performance alongside backend logging, metrics, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to release features.
• Write clean, maintainable code and own its behavior in production.
• Triage and resolve security vulnerability reports.
• Participate in code reviews and diagnose production issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a full-stack or frontend role with proven TypeScript and React experience.
• Production experience with Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and front-end build tooling.
• Record of using AI in development and debugging.
• Experience building for high availability and scalability.
• Ability to work autonomously in a globally distributed team.
