Software Engineer II - Full Stack - Web Engineering @Elastic

The Software Engineer II on the Web Engineering team will develop features and systems that keep the elastic.co site fast, reliable, and effective.

Key Responsibilities

• Own features across the full stack, from component design to backend services and deployment pipelines.
• Instrument client-side performance and monitor backend logging, metrics, and alerts.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to build, test, and release features.
• Write clean, maintainable code and manage its behavior in production.
• Triage and resolve security vulnerabilities from analysis to fix and disclosure.
• Participate in code reviews and diagnose production issues, participating in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a full-stack or frontend role, with TypeScript and React experience.
• Production experience with Node.js, Python, or Go for independent backend service management.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Track record of using AI for development and debugging.
• Expertise in building for high availability and securely coding under pressure.
• Ability to work autonomously in a distributed team.
