Software Engineer II - Full Stack - Web Engineering @Elastic

Overview

The role involves working as a Software Engineer II in the Web Engineering team at Elastic, where you will contribute to building features, systems, and infrastructure for the company's website, elastic.co.

Key Responsibilities

• Own features across the full stack from component design, backend services to deployment pipelines.
• Instrument client-side performance and manage backend logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to release features.
• Write clean, maintainable code and take ownership of production behavior.
• Triage, investigate, and resolve security vulnerability reports.
• Participate in code reviews and diagnose production issues across client and backend systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a full-stack or frontend role with proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Production experience with Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Experience in owning CI/CD pipelines and front-end build tooling.
• Track record of leveraging AI for development and debugging.
• Experienced in building for high availability and security.
• Ability to work autonomously in a globally distributed team.
