Software Engineer II - Full Stack - Web Engineering @Elastic

Overview

The role is for a Software Engineer II on the Web Engineering team at Elastic, focusing on building and maintaining features and infrastructure for the company's web presence. This remote position is intended for a full-stack engineer skilled in both frontend and backend development.

Key Responsibilities

• Own features across the full stack from component design and backend services to deployment pipelines, shipping production code end-to-end.
• Instrument client-side performance and backend monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to build, test, and release features.
• Write clean, maintainable code and take ownership of its performance in production.
• Triage, investigate, and resolve security vulnerability reports.
• Participate in code reviews and diagnose production issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a full-stack or frontend role with proven TypeScript and React experience.
• Production experience with Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Track record of using AI for development and debugging.
• Experience in building for high availability and security.
• Ability to work autonomously in a globally distributed team.
