Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Build features and components for production services.
• Take ownership of well-defined pieces of larger projects, from requirements through production.
• Propose technical solutions and bring them through to working code.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on complex problems and engage in code reviews and design discussions.
• Help operate the services owned by the team and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Investigate incidents beyond the runbook and improve processes for the future.
• Automate repetitive tasks through coding.
• Communicate status and blockers regularly.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience writing services in Go or proficiency in another systems language with willingness to learn Go.
• Working understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Curiosity about distributed systems and scalable service communication.
• Ability to work through ambiguity with support from experienced engineers.
• Collaborative approach, welcoming feedback and learning from teammates.
• Clear written and verbal communication in a distributed async setting.
• Commitment to the quality of work shipped, including testing and observability.
