Solutions Architect - Digital Native Business @Databricks

Overview

As a Solutions Architect on the Digital Natives team at Databricks, you will shape the future of the big data landscape by collaborating with customers, product teams, and the broader customer-facing team to develop architectures and solutions using the Databricks platform and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership to help customers understand how Databricks can solve their business problems.
• Consult on Big Data architectures and implement proof of concepts for strategic projects, including data engineering, data science, machine learning, and SQL analysis workflows.
• Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to support each other and users.
• Become an expert in and promote Databricks-inspired open-source projects (e.g., Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow) within the developer community.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or similar pre-sales/consulting role.
• Experience building distributed data systems.
• Proficient in programming and debugging Python and SQL.
• Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in either Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) or Data Science and Machine Learning technologies (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, pytorch, Tensorflow).
• Available to travel to customers in your region.
• Desired degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research) is a plus.
• Databricks Certification is a nice-to-have.
