    Overview

    The Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) role at Databricks focuses on working with federal government customers to develop and deploy solutions addressing their data and AI challenges.     Key Responsibilities

    • Lead technical projects and deliver production-grade systems including reference architectures and ML/AI model integration.
    • Guide customers through transformational big data projects, working with engagement managers to scope technical delivery.
    • Provide architectural guidance and implement projects to enhance customer understanding and adoption of Databricks.
    • Ensure that technical components of engagements are delivered in line with customer requirements.
    • Collaborate with engineers and customer support to deliver product feedback and resolve issues.
    • Engage deeply with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impactful solutions.
    • Contribute to best practices and reusable assets that scale impact across accounts.

    Requirements

    • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, analytics, or software engineering.
    • Proficiency in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
    • Working knowledge of Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
    • Experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark™ and familiarity with CI/CD processes.
    • Knowledge of MLOps and developing production-ready data architectures.
    • Experience in managing technical projects and stakeholder engagements.
