Sr. Solutions Architect - Digital Native Business, Strategics @Databricks

Overview

The Sr. Solutions Architect will support the strategic Digital Natives Business (DNB) customers at Databricks. The role involves shaping the future of the Data & AI landscape by collaborating with sophisticated data engineering and data science teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team and provide technical leadership to help customers understand how Databricks can resolve their business challenges.
• Lead technical discovery, design architectures, and implement proof of concepts for strategic projects in data engineering, data science, machine learning, and SQL analysis workflows.
• Assist customers in building solutions integrating with cloud services, homegrown tools, and third-party applications.
• Act as a strategic technical advisor to help drive business outcomes.
• Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects for mutual support and user assistance.
• Promote and recruit contributors for Databricks inspired open-source projects across the developer community.

Requirements

• 7+ years in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or a similar pre-sales/consulting role.
• Experience with building distributed data systems.
• Comfortable programming in and debugging Python and SQL.
• Experience with public cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in data engineering or data science and machine learning technologies.
• Available to travel to customers in your region.
• Degree in a quantitative discipline is desirable.
• Databricks Certification is a plus.
