The role of Staff Backend Engineer - Alerting at Grafana Labs involves working within the Grafana Alerting squad, a critical component of the Grafana open-source project. The team focuses on developing scalable alert management systems to enhance user experience for various organizations globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Influence the project roadmap and pursue personal career objectives.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver new features and implement improvements based on results.
• Lead projects from ideation through to operations after deployment.
• Contribute to open-source projects beyond the immediate team scope.
• Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations and manage the services you own.
• Mentor team members, engage in design discussions, and work collaboratively.
• Enhance skills by getting to know the cloud product and associated codebase.
