Overview
Webflow is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to drive key initiatives across Data Platform Engineering, focusing on the data lake, event instrumentation, data quality, and data governance. This position is remote-first and permanent, catering to the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Design data solutions across batch, streaming, and real-time workloads.
- Build reliable data pipelines using Spark, Kafka, Iceberg, and Airflow/MWAA.
- Contribute to the evolution of the data lake and data platform.
- Maintain and scale cloud data infrastructure ensuring reliability and observability.
- Implement data quality, observability, reliability, and governance across data pipelines.
- Define standards for event instrumentation and governance.
- Support GDPR and CCPA requirements for data handling.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with other teams on complex technical initiatives.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
- Strong background in Spark and distributed data processing.
- Experience with technologies such as Kafka, Spark Structured Streaming, and CDC.
- Proficiency in cloud data infrastructure and CI/CD.
- Experience leading data engineering initiatives from design to production.
- Strong programming and SQL skills.
